類風濕性關節炎（RA）是一種自身免疫性疾病。早期的類風濕性關節炎一般首先影響到小關節，隨著病情的發展，癥狀蔓延到手腕、膝蓋、腳踝、肘部、臀部和肩膀，最終導致骨侵蝕和關節畸形。RA微環境往往伴隨著高度炎癥、內源性氣體水平失衡和治療不力的惡性循環。為了打破這個循環，重慶大學、成都中醫藥大學、重慶醫科大學附屬第一醫院的Wenbo Geng、Jie Zhao 、Bailong Tao等團隊開發了一種雙氣體介導的可注射水凝膠，用于調節RA的免疫微環境，同時釋放治療藥物。該研究成果在Bioactive Materials（IF=18.9）在線發表了題目為“Regulation of rheumatoid arthritis microenvironment via a self-healing injectable hydrogel for improved inflammation elimination and bone repair”的研究論文，此論文使用了聯科生物Mouse IL-6 ELISA Kit（貨號：EK206）、Mouse TNF-α ELISA Kit（貨號：EK282）和Mouse IL-10 ELISA Kit（貨號：EK210）3種檢測試劑盒。
本文使用的水凝膠（DNRS凝膠）可以通過消耗過量的一氧化氮（NO）和釋放治療性硫化氫（H2S）按需分解，導致內源性氣體恢復、炎癥緩解和巨噬細胞極化為M2型。此外，水凝膠還可以抑制破骨細胞生成，增強成骨能力。在膠原誘導的關節炎大鼠模型中，關節內注射含有甲氨蝶呤的水凝膠（MTX/DNRS凝膠）顯著減輕了炎癥和臨床癥狀，并促進了骨侵蝕的修復。體內結果表明，MTX/DNRS凝膠恢復了微環境，提高了MTX的治療效果。該研究為開發用于RA治療的多功能智能遞送平臺提供了新的思路。
